What do I have to consider if I want to open a safe deposit box with a precious metal dealer?
Precious metal traders are regulated as financial intermediaries in Malaysia and must join an SRO (self-regulatory organization). When opening a safe deposit box, you must therefore bear in mind that the dealer must record your customer data in accordance with the Money Laundering Act, including the beneficial owner, for example. This is not the case with private storage companies such as QC Protection.

What are high security storage facilities for precious metals?
